In January 2022, Rachel Keeling Nursery School entered a federation with Children's House Nursery School as part of a sustainability measure.
At the time we knew this was the first step towards a longer term solution.
We now find ourselves in the position where we need to act to secure the future of the outstanding provision for our young children at Children’s House Nursery School.
The governors of Children’s House and Rachel Keeling Nursery Federation consulted to end the current federation and proposed to federate Children’s House and Old Palace Primary School.
Following the consultation, governors from Children's House and Old Palace unanimously agreed we will become a federation with a single governing body from 1 September 2025. Children will continue to attend Children’s House Nursery School for their nursery education. The two schools would continue to run as separate schools, with their own budgets and staffing structure but share one governing body and one executive head teacher.
The consultation ran from Monday 7 October - 22 November 2024.
The consultation is now closed.
You can speak to us any time or you can email any comments and questions to Becky [email protected]
A report outlining the consultation will be posted here in due course. Dr Helen Jenner is the author and is compiling it currently.
Thank you all for your support and we are hopeful this next step will ensure we are able to secure a rich long-term future for quality education in the local community.
