Friday 11th September
Today everyone will have received a letter explaining how we can communicate with you during this period when you have limited access to the building. Even though you are currently not seeing your child’s key person every day you are welcome to e-mail or phone the school office if you need advice or support, or just want to check in to see how your child is settling. After seven weeks in nursery every child has an assessment to see how they are progressing in the three prime areas of the curriculum, we will be assessing how children communicate, how happy and settled they are in nursery and we will be looking at their physical skills. We will of course share this with you at a socially distanced parents evening. Courses for parents/carers will begin at the end of this month with outdoor learning. We want you all to feel like partners in your child’s education. If you have news to share or want to send in a photograph for your child’s learning journey, please do e-mail us.
Today in nursery, children used the paint they had mixed to make handprints and other children drew pictures and wrote about their families. We always have a focus on “ourselves” during the first few weeks of nursery, we want to find out all about your child and ensure that they feel safe and comfortable in nursery.
Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday, when we will welcome more new children and families.
