Friday 22nd October

Friday 22nd October 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

As this half-term draws to a close, I would like to thank you all for choosing Children’s House for your child’s nursery and also say well done to all our children. They are happy, settled and enjoying all the activities on offer.

Today was our harvest festival, we were overwhelmed by your generosity and the First Love Foundation and The Bromley by Bow Food Bank were thrilled to receive your very kind and thoughtful donations. The children enjoyed their first harvest festival, they sang class songs, talked about the food we eat and where it comes from and the importance of helping others less fortunate.

Afterwards everyone helped to box up the donations and we delivered everything to the foodbanks.

It was a lovely end to a busy term.

Children had an extra treat today when Aayah one of the fantastic ladies who look after our school building, came to talk to the children about Somalia, she showed them traditional clothes, taught them a new song and shared a typical Somali pancake breakfast. The children were really interested in everything she had to tell them and we say a big thank you to her.

We also had the second session of Healthy Families today, it really is so nice to see parents back on site learning and talking together.

Have a safe and happy half-term and we will see you all back on Monday 1st November.
