Friday 2nd October

Dear parents/carers,

Today we were informed that a member of staff has tested positive for Corona Virus. As a number of staff have been in close contact we need to isolate for fourteen days from the point of last contact. This sadly means the nursery will be closed until Monday 12th October. You will all have received a letter explaining self-isolation and what it means.

Please be reassured that for most people COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if your child develops any symptoms during isolation you can arrange a test by contacting:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-for-coronavirus/

If anyone in your household starts to have symptoms you should follow the Stay at Home: Guidance for households with possible or confirmed COVID-19

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance

If your test is negative, then you must still complete the full 14 days of self-isolation, as you could still develop COVID-19. You should continue to follow the advice provided in this guidance.

We are sorry to have to close just as the children were happy and settled. However, after consultation with Public Health we must take measures to control the spread of the virus and keep our community safe.

Everyone has the e-mail address of their key person and you can contact the head teacher or school office at any time. We are here to help.

Your key person will call you during this period so look out for withheld numbers on your phone.

There will be a blog everyday with ideas for home learning activities. Thank you for your understanding and we will welcome you back soon.
