A Love Letter to Children's House Nursery School

14/7/2025

Dear friends,

A love letter to Children’s House Nursery School.
I have only been at Children’s House for 3 and a half years but during that time, I have felt the love, care and passion of this community. Your support of each other and generosity in caring and giving to those facing hardship, both near and far, is breathtaking.

To help children grow into independent, confident, communicators, who are joyful and compassionate has given me such a purpose in life: we need more compassion, love and joy in the world - now more than ever.
Please as we all step forward in the world, remember this, there is more that unites us than divides us. Do not let fear, negativity and bigotry stop you from talking to your neighbour.
Say “Hello” to people in the street, in shops, on the bus.
Life is made up of small moments and these small moments matter: they come together to form bigger moments: that is life.

27 years in Tower Hamlets has helped me grow into a better human being and whatever comes next, I will take a piece of Children’s House Nursery School in my heart.

All my love and best wishes, Becky

PS. Oh and please get out and about and cycle!
Fun fact - did you know that I have cycled 26,083 miles since I started this job commuting to and from work. That is the equivalent of cycling more than the whole circumference of the earth! I’ve cycled around the world!
