At Children's House Nursery School we know the importance of our families feeling part of the life of the school.
This week we were lucky enough to have parents Joyti and Juhel come in to share their love of music with the children. Joyti sang for the children and we all joined in with her beautiful voice: she even had a microphone and a speaker that lit up! Children listened with interest. Juhel played the drums rhythmically and we had to stand up to dance as the music was so inviting. Children chose ways to move their bodies. Joyti had a special instrument called a harmonium: it has a keyboard and a squeeze box. She played it for us and children were so curious. Afterwards some children came up to explore how it works and to have a go. So many children and staff showed real joy while listening to the music and singing. We are so grateful Joyti and Juhel shared their gift with us. Do you have a skill you would like to share in nursery? We would love to welcome you: maybe you are great at sport, cooking, stories or art? Please speak to us and let us know. Comments are closed.
