During each session, children have opportunities to lead their own learning and choose what they would like to do.
There are also times when adults will direct learning and choose what they would like children to experience. Supporting children to work and learn together is key: cooperation, resilience, managing emotions, sharing, communicating and problem solving are all important skills when working with others. Children are supported and encouraged to work together in pairs and small groups and this week, children have been making playdough to take home, exploring the water, construction with a purpose and caring for the garden in small groups. Over their time at nursery, children will have many opportunities to experience this in a range of contexts. Seeing their development is incredible. Try to play games at home that involve turn taking and sharing: this will really help your child in school with their learning. Comments are closed.
