Monday 21st June

Monday 21st June 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

Today you should all have received a text message re: end of term arrangements. We had hoped and expected to move to stage 4 of Lockdown today which would have meant that we could finally welcome you all back on to site. However this is now delayed for a further four weeks due to the rapid rise in the number of COVID cases. We have therefore been asked to keep children in their current bubbles and not to go ahead with our end of term plans. Parents/carers of leavers will still be able to meet to discuss their child’s progress on Friday 16th July and will be given a timed slot to ensure social distancing.

We are of course disappointed as I’m sure you are and we hope you understand that this is out of our control. The most important thing is to prevent a third wave of the virus.

This week children are preparing for Sports Day, we will hold this on Friday, however if it rains it will move to next Monday the 28th.

In nursery today children have been learning all about frogs and observing the classroom caterpillars. Other children were playing number games and we always start the week with circle time.

Have a lovely evening, today is the longest day of the year and the summer solstice. Tomorrow the days begin to get a little shorter again.
