Monday 25th January 2021

Good afternoon everyone

Today you will all have received an urgent text message. Apologies for mentioning it again however, it is really important that everyone understands and follows the rules

If you or anyone in your household has symptoms of COVID you must take a test. Children MUST NOT come to nursery if anyone in their household is waiting for test results. Even if the child has no symptoms they must not come to nursery if anyone at home is waiting for results. When the test results arrive if the test was negative and the child has no symptoms they can return to nursery.

Please do not send your child to nursery if anyone in your household has taken a test. Children can be asymptomatic however they can spread the virus, therefore please follow government guidance.

If in doubt stay home and call the school office for advice. We must work together to prevent the spread of the virus and keep the nursery safe and open.

This week the parental engagement team are offering a free virtual session for Early Years Parents.

The session will provide a safe space for parents to share their experiences, ask questions and pick up some handy tips from experienced practitioners. Content includes information about new learning approaches, ‘blended learning’, tips on supporting learning at home and keeping children safe on-line.

The workshop,” Learning in the Early Years” will take place on: Thursday 28 January 2021 from 10am- 11am.

Full Details of workshops can be found on

Parents can book places by emailing

Stating the session and date they wish to attend, age and school of child.

Do give it a go, these sessions always receive excellent feedback.

This week our book is “The Three Little Pigs”. Today you can listen to Sam reading the story, see the home learning sheet for the week and then you could use the sequencing cards to encourage your child to retell the story.

In nursery today children listened to story and then made their own masks and story props to help them act it out with their friends.

On the blog today we have pictures of some very busy children baking cakes, having a home haircut and playing in the snow. We live to see the fun you are having at home.

Take care and help us to keep you all safe.

Have a good evening.
