Good evening everyone,

I hope that you all had a good half-term and enjoyed the lovely weather. We have a busy six weeks ahead of us with lots of fun activities planned for the children. It’s hard to believe that we are in the last half term of the school year it seems to have flown by.

A quick request during this hot weather please could you send your child to nursery with a sunhat. Write your child’s name clearly inside as many will have the same hat, also please apply a sunscreen to your child in the morning before nursery. We keep the children out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, however, it is important to protect skin as children naturally want to be outdoors in lovely weather.

Please can we also request no open toed sandals. This is for safety reasons, if a child dropped a wooden block on a bare foot or was run over by a bike there could be a serious injury, also open toed sandals are a trip hazard, so please stick to sensible footwear that allows your child to run and play freely and safely. Thank you for your support with this.

It was lovely to see the children back today, this half term the children are learning about lifecycles and mini-beasts. Today some children enjoyed a nature walk whilst others were introduced to the lifecycle of a butterfly.

We have our own caterpillars in class so children will be able to observe the changes first hand. Red class enjoyed water play, which was perfect for a hot day.

Have a lovely evening.
