Supporting children's well being and mental health

Dear Parents and Carers,

Many children will be worried during this time of social isolation. They may not understand what is happening, why they can't go to school or nursery and why they have to stay indoors. Below is a link to the government website which contains ideas on how to support your child through this.

Children show worry in different ways and it is perfectly normal if your child regresses, has more tantrums, is acting out or becoming withdrawn. Reassuring them that you are keeping them safe and explaining what is happening in a way appropriate to the age of the child will help a lot. See below for ideas on how to support your child during this anxious time.
