Thursday 17th December 2020
Good afternoon everyone,
As we reach the end of this extremely unusual term, I would just like to take this opportunity to express my pride and admiration in how brilliantly everyone in our school community is working together in the face of the immense changes to our lives that the battle against the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic has caused.
As parents, this has been a really tough time for you as you cope with your own worries, your own experiences of COVID and keeping your child/children engaged and occupied during the periods they have been required to stay at home. I would like to thank you all for the support you are giving to your children as we all try to ensure that they are able to continue with their learning as best as possible whilst the school is closed.
This way of working is all very new to us all, I think you can be incredibly proud of all you have achieved for your family over the past year. There are lots of things that we have all learnt. However, the most important is that the health and wellbeing of your family is our top priority and comes before everything else.
I am extremely proud of our resilient children, every child has settled well and is happy in nursery. We are looking forward to a fun Spring Term and have planned many exciting learning opportunities.
The end of term also sees us saying goodbye to some remarkable children who are leaving us to start "big school" in January. We will miss them all very much. However, I am confident that they will thrive in their new school. Wherever they go they will always be a part of our Children's House family. Each child has made a wonderful start to their learning journey. Good Luck everyone.
You can say "goodbye" by watching the Leavers Presentation below.
Today the children able to attend nursery enjoyed their Christmas Party and a visit from Santa. However please don’t worry all children isolating at home will have a New Year’s Party on Friday 8th January.
Next week on the blog you will see some home learning suggestions to keep your child busy and engaged.
I apologise for changing the INSET day however as our presenter cancelled we thought it would be good to give the children an extra day, however as all schools have been asked to take an INSET day on the 4th January we had to change back. Therefore we will see the children on Tuesday 5th January 2021.
Finally we have an end of term treat for you. Scroll down, sit back, relax and enjoy our end of term performance and we will see you all on Tuesday 5th January 2021.
