Thursday 24th June

Thursday 24th June 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

I am so sorry that we have had to change sports day. We have explained this to the children. This is because rain is forecast tomorrow and equipment ordered in good time failed to arrive. It will now take place on Friday July 9th. Many of you have asked what your child should wear for the day. We will provide souvenir t-shirts the night before and then we suggest shorts or track suit and trainers plus a sun hat as children will be outdoors for longer than usual.

Today children have continued with recording facts about mini-beasts, they really have learnt a lot and have retained this new knowledge. As I went into class today I was informed that spiders have eight legs, lady birds have black spots and caterpillars turn into butterflies. I was impressed with what children have learnt. In the classroom our real caterpillars are growing fast and will soon start to spin their cocoons. The children love observing them and seeing first-hand how they grow and change.

Other children enjoyed working with the clay and in the garden children practiced some of the sports day activities and used the mud kitchen in the forest area.

Have a lovely evening.
