Thursday 4th November

Thursday 4th November 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

Happy Diwali to all our families celebrating today. Diwali is the five-day Festival of Lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. Diwali, which for some also coincides with harvest and New Year celebrations, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

Today children listened to the Diwali story and had a special surprise when one of our mums came in to nursery to dance a traditional Dandiya for everyone. So a big thank you for sharing something so interesting with us all.

Diwali like Bonfire night is also a time of fireworks, so in the playground children made huge splatter paintings like exploding fireworks.

Red class enjoyed making their own Rangoli patterns

Indoors children were experimenting with shades of light and dark paint.

On a different note we have a winter vomiting bug in nursery at the moment.

If a child has vomited they must stay at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Have a lovely evening
