Good afternoon everyone,
I hope that you have all had a good day and maybe had a go at some of the activities linked to “Whatever Next”. Do send in any pictures to share with friends.
Sadia is on the blog today with a sorting and counting game, have fun watching it together.
Our staff with COVID are gradually recovering and we hope that we will be able to open to more children soon. Your Key Person will call next week to discuss this with you. We do need to limit numbers on site to ensure safety for all but it will be useful to know who would like their child to return to nursery.
In the meantime keep reading the blog and trying some of our home learning activities. Next week the BBC will begin broadcasting activities for the early years. You will find the link below.
In nursery children enjoyed exploring ice and rescuing frozen penguins and polar bears from ice blocks. This is a fun simple activity to try at home. Freeze some toy animals in a container of water and let the children have a go at freeing them, they can chip away at the ice with teaspoons for icepicks.
Children also made slime in red class. This is another fun activity and there are many recipes on line. There is one posted below.
In the garden children spontaneously decided to be fire fighters, they made a fire engine and enjoyed putting out many imaginary fires.
Have a good evening and stay safe.
