Tuesday 8th September
Good afternoon everyone,
Today we welcomed some of our new starters and they settled really well. We are pleased with how the new arrangements for dropping off and collecting are going. Children have already adapted to the new routine and are saying their goodbyes at the gate. This really does help to keep everyone safe.
Please can I politely remind everyone that there must be no dropping off by car at the school gates, number of parents are parking on the yellow lines outside school. Not only is this unsafe it is illegal. Please find a spot to park away from school and walk your child from the parking spot to school.
Most of the children were outdoors today, enjoying the mud kitchen, sand pit, obstacle course and climbing frame. Small groups of children worked indoors drawing pictures of their families and for the older children writing about them. It really is wonderful to have everyone back and already we can see children are enjoying being back into the nursery routine.
All children are served a healthy snack in both the morning and afternoon session, today they had a choice of fruit, yoghurt, toast triangles and bread sticks.
All snack food is served and prepared by a member of staff with additional training in food hygiene. Children wash hands before and after eating and the crockery and cutlery is washed in the dish washer. Children’s water bottles are replenished with filtered water as the need arises. Milk is available for children in individual small cartons.
Have a lovely evening
