Tuesday April 13th

Tuesday 13th April 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

It’s lovely to be back at Nursery and we hope that you all had a good break.

I would like to wish everyone observing the fast, Ramadan Mubarak.

This week started off with a creative INSET day for some staff, whilst others were busy renewing their pediatric first aid certificates.

We also had the staff room and book room painted during the break.

This week we will be welcoming more new children to nursery and we hope that they will be very happy here.

As shops and restaurants start to open up, just a reminder that the pandemic is still not over and we ask that you still wear a face covering and observe social distancing at the gates.

You may have noticed that the no parking zone outside the nursery has been extended. We are a “walk to school” nursery and we do ask you all not to bring your cars to nursery. If you do have to drive under no circumstances must you pull up in the new no parking zone. Thank you for your cooperation.

This week we have an art focus with the children, they are learning how to mix their own paints and learning about different artists and styles. At Children’s House art is about creativity and the process of expression and discovery rather than an end product. We want children to experiment and discover.

As Vygotsky (Child psychologist) said:

“It must not be forgotten that the basic law of children’s creativity is that its value lies not in its results. Not in the product of creation but in the process itself. It is not important what children create but that they do create, that they exercise and implement their creative imagination”

Finally if you would like to see the lunch menu it is posted on the front of the website under school meals.

Have a lovely evening.
