Wednesday 24th February

Wednesday 24th February 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

Hope you have all had a good day. The weather was glorious so as you can imagine the children wanted to be in the garden as much as possible. The daffodils they planted back in October are now in bloom and we are seeing the first signs of spring.

Indoors we continued to learn about recycling. Ground floor class turned empty packaging into toys and first floor sorted materials by category.

Over in red class the children finished their planting and practiced moving in different ways. The staff were exhausted after their work out!

On the blog today Sadia is reading a lovely story “Topsy and Tim go Green”, then you can watch a short film of Sadia visiting the recycling centre to dispose of her waste.

At home let your child look at the packages and tins in your cupboard to see if they can spot the recycling arrow.

When you go for a walk point out litter and remind your children how important it is to find a bin, or take litter home to be disposed of properly.

On the blog below you can click on a link to learn The Litter Song.

Have a lovely evening
