Wednesday 30th June

Wednesday 30th June 2021

Good evening everyone,

A late blog today as we have been welcoming the new children for September to a meet and greet session.

Children in nursery are showing a good deal of interest in transport and today made their own vehicles in the garden. They then went on various imaginary journeys. There is still a lot of interest in acting out the story of Mr Gumpy and a new boat was built in the ground floor classroom.  You can listen to the story by clicking on the link below.

Indoors children were drawing vehicles, writing stories, working in the creative area and building intricate buildings with the lego and other construction vehicles. At Children's House we use a technique called "helicopter" stories, the children write their story or tell it to the adult who acts as scribe and then other children act it out for their friends.

Tomorrow we are having our provision for children with additional needs inspected as part of the Borough’s SEN review.

We are looking forward to telling the inspectors how we support children with special needs and disabilities and how we plan our curriculum so every child feels welcome and included.

Have a lovely evening.
