Wednesday 4th November
Good afternoon everyone,
We are busy writing seven week assessments for children who joined us during September. You will shortly be offered a zoom or telephone call with your key person to discuss your child’s progress. We had hoped we could offer face to face appointments, however because of the new lock down rules this will not be possible. You will hear from your key person in the next few days to arrange a suitable time.
Today children were exploring shadows, they enjoyed designing and making their own shadow puppets and then acting out their own dramas.
Other children made black and white cookies and outdoors in the garden children explored shapes in the environment.
Over in Red Class our youngest children enjoyed making a hanging mobile together.
Children were also interested in the cold weather, you can really help us by showing your child how to put on their coat. You can imagine how long it takes to get all the children wrapped up warmly for outdoor play. So if you encourage children to put on their coats at home, this will be really supportive. We are also encouraging children to learn how to do up their zips. Children who can manage their can join the zippy zip club and help their friends to learn.
Have a lovely evening and remember tomorrow we start a new lockdown. Schools and Nurseries are open so do bring your children every day.
