Graduation 2022

What a pleasure it was to see almost all our leavers together for one last time to celebrate their graduation.
Staff and children had been working for a few weeks on their production of Mr Gumpy's Outing, along with some drumming and two dancing troops.
Children showed great confidence in getting up and speaking, dancing and performing in front of a large audience of friends and families.
All the children were presented with their Special Books to take home and treasure.
It was the warmest week of the year and everyone was a STAR!

The children will move forward with the Children's House Values and the incredible learning journeys they have been on and the dispositions they have developed.
Remember, we are not in a marathon or a conveyor belt of life. Make the most of each day: look at the stars, find joy in the everyday and get out on a bicycle!
We would like to thank all our families, friends, governors and staff for their support and commitment this year.
It has been a year with some changes for Children's House Nursery School and our federation with Rachel Keeling Nursery School.
Thank you all for your support - a message below from our Chair of Governors, Zohra, on behalf of our Governing Body

Leaver's Trip to Paradise Wildlife Park

At Children's House we are so proud to see the development of all our children during their time with us.
All children make wonderful progress and to celebrate, we hold our leaver's trip each year.
This year we returned to Paradise Wildlife Park - our coaches arrived on time and families (some with wheelie cases full of food!) joined staff on board to set off to Hertfordshire.
The day was enjoyed exploring the wildlife who live there, riding on the train through the dinosaur woods and enjoying a splash in the pool.
We hope those of you who joined us had a fantastic day.
Remember you can visit Stepney City Farm, Mudchute Farm or Hackney City Farm locally and the Maritime Museum and Greenwich Park are only. a short trip on the DLR away. Queen Elizabeth Park (Olympic Park) at Stratford also are holding events all summer.
Get outside and enjoy the weather!

Summer Fete July 2022

The Children's House Nursery School community love a celebration so it was wonderful to see the return of our annual Summer Fete.
This is an opportunity for children, families and staff to come together and celebrate whilst raising money for our school.
All week children had helped to prepare the signs for the stalls and so it was very exciting when Friday came!
Families were so supportive and brought their pennies and good cheer: from face painting, to mocktails, to hook a duck, to mendhi, to bracelet making, to apple bobbing, to our book and toy stall, to delicious food, to tin alley: everyone joined in and we raised more than £700!
Thank you for your support!

Sport's Day 2022 - everyone a winner

The sun shone and the children wore their fabulous Children's House Nursery School t-shirts for our annual Sport's Day.
Thank you to our families for remembering water bottles, sun cream and sun hats - this meant we had a joyful day, celebrating the children's development in running, balancing, climbing and overall perseverance.
Staff and children cheered for each other, celebrating the wins and the trying hard.
Children enjoyed the egg and spoon race, long jump, stilt races, the sack race, running and beanbag races. Some showed real skill with the hockey stick and the under and over with the ball.
Fair play was observed and everyone left tired but very happy with their medal!
Next year we will investigate returning to St Pauls so families can join us
